  • Now compare on the road 👌🏻

  • This is painful to watch. It's people that have no idea what they're doing spreading mis information to others that have no idea. The least you could have done is have a guest from one of the numerous jeep or Toyota clubs in California speak.

  • How did you balance the wheels/tires?

  • Nothing wrong with kenda. They make some really good budget tyres. Their hatch back sizes are really well priced in the UK. I think you yanks call them compacts.

  • The tire cost question can be addressed as; If you have a violent girlfriend, get the cheaper tires, in case she decides to poke them.

  • Those Ali wheels are ridiculous, if you ding it at all it’s just going to crack them, steel wheels are far superior off-road

  • The holistic man canonically compare because salesman inherently flower times a nosy texture. soft, hypnotic viola

  • hell...even the $1500 set of tires are still entry level

  • These guys hate each other

  • funny, entertaining, but useless info over all.

  • The guy that is shouting continuously, he is angry, deaf, or simply an ass?

  • Yes! Tires make all the difference! Running pizza cutters here and loving them.

  • Surprised iRoks weren't used

  • Bonus, you can have the same budget and get twice the tire count, handy if you wear out tires quickly. BTW "tire soap" is glorious. I didn't think it mattered until I got a tub with a used tire machine but now I'll only use dish soap etc when I'm not near my tub of tire spooge.

  • Best deal is the Good Year Wrangler Authority tires made for Walmart by GoodYear they are similar to the Dura Trac they work great compared to my Dura Tracs the only downside is limited sizes

  • Yes you get more contact pattern stupid

  • You guys didn't really test and compare where the R&D money is mainly spent from the big tire companies. 《Puncture resistance.》

  • one thing they should have mentioned is that there is a yellow paint dot on tires that is supposed to line up with the valve stem. the red one is for runout but that cant always be used and isnt always necessary

  • What do you guys do with them when you are done?

  • 🤣 all i know is that them expensive toyo and Nitto tires are just for show. I also run cheap-O tires on my jk and couldn't be any happier but to each their own. If you have the money to spend 2k on tires that you will eventually have to replace more power to you.

  • my opinion at 850-2,500 you are paying for a brand name if you can't stick a thumb between the tread you already should know what the capability of said tires are and what they are designed to run through most all terrains are typically tarmac/gravel road/clay (maintained roads use a light beach use) mud terrains 1thumb to 2 finger width tread pattern dirt/bulldust/beach with the bulk of people playing around 17-21 inch standard rims, these are nothing tarmac crawler and should never go off road watch the with the nick name jeep banana and watch the idiots he recovers with his team.. Nobody these days needs high sidewall tires and low tire pressure running at most 15-16 inch rims Anything listed as all terrain tire are typically is referred to a radial tire for your 4x4 tarmac/maintained gravel/hard packed dirt clay road, somewhat limited to be used on sand or muddy powered sand or beach sand conditions Note: if you had to been recovered by recovered at some point in the past you will understand the concept just because something state and says 4x4 don't mean the fucking thing off road usable this typically ends up being another cost on top of base vehicle cost. pending on vehicle $50-200k after mods are available

  • Love the fact you guys are learning off roading 😂

  • What kind of sunglasses Aaron have on

  • What they didn't check is how long different tyres will last. The rule of thumb - twice less expensive will wear twice as fast :) after all it will he the same price

  • i love the mac and cheese bit its very ‘james’

  • Please Revisit once both sets of tires have 20k miles on them.

  • Skip to @3:00 for the start

  • I would argue if I'm going to the middle of no where and by myself or very few people.... hi truck wheels. But if you're a city boy and always have friends around. Light off roading then low trucks

  • You can tell they're car guys and no 4x4 guys from this video

  • Try using helium in your tires. It is a lighter than air. It makes a big difference.

  • Ok so aluminum rims tends to be heavier because needs more material to be as strong as steel plus the beed lock and bead lock is so you can air down farther

  • 15:45 “Aaron’s not the best communicator” 16:20 Aaron: “Brake - GO GO GO GO” Putting myself in Nolan’s shoes I could see how it’d be frustrating lol

  • beadlocks don't help if they are only on one side. they are just for show and have the same limitations as non beadlock wheels.

  • Are the treads going to delaminate and fly off at highway speed? Ya hearing’ me Super Swamper?

  • Skill lvl discounted many of these tire are close to equal off-roading other then longevity, Deep mud excluded. But if this is your daily driver, road conditions are far different.. snow, ice, rain, extreme heat and longevity are when the pricy tires show their quality.. I dropped 3k on fuel mavericks and 35x12.50r20 Toyo A/T III and thus far have had no issues at all, they are rated well for rain snow and ice tho, have not tried them on snow and ice as of yet.. also knowing i will not have to buy tires for the next 5 years or 65k miles is a plus :)

  • Doesn't a major difference also come down to durability and how many miles they will last?

  • Ya definitely don’t dynamic balance heavy assemblies like that ha ha

  • my dad has been taking stock tacomas accross the most impossible shtuff and swears by airing down since 1987.

  • I don't think you guys pushed this far enough, but that's probably cause I'm here after watching the WDs Hilux 'tests'.

  • Love from India🇮🇳🇮🇳

  • sees HiLow, click like, its science really

  • Should have gone with some mt's

  • Oh....you still gotta put more air in after you do the torch thing? I knew you need to add air but not the fact that it collapses like that after torching

  • ABC: Always Be Climbing

  • 800 vs 1500 is not that much ofa jump.. should have went with 500 tires and then 2500

  • What would have also been cool to see is how the fuel economy in the city and on the highway were impacted with having an increased tire weight. Just interesting to see.

    • Dramatically. I went from 18 to 14 mpg average.

  • If this proved anything its that you guys suck at driving.

  • Whats the difference 99% of mud tires never go off road.

  • Giver Beans! Brrrrrrraaappp! No worries M8!

  • This was a great comparison video showing that anyone can enjoy the 4X4 experience and not break the bank! Great episode!

  • The price difference isn't about performance of the tires, its about how they wear. Those nittos will last longer

  • I know I'm late to the season, but watching you guys learn off-roading is both fun and so frustrating lol. Do Jeeps next time you pick a vehicle!

  • Steel wheels > alloy wheels off-road when remote touring for surreeee.

  • Why so surprised at the fact that 15 psi will increase traction? Secondly you don't need beadlocks when running 15psi. Do you guys ever do any serious off roading? Also, when using aerosol to set the bead, don't use a blow torch! What the F is wrong with the guy who did that! That was like watching amateur hour.

  • You didn’t exclude space so I’m assuming you guys will be driving those trucks to space sometime soon

  • One thing that was not discussed is the amount of weight used to balance the tires. Tires that start out well balanced usually wear and maintain balance better.

  • I hope you guys take this as the compliment I intend it to be. Your guys’ episodes in terms of content and entertainment value are honestly my second favorite of all time only behind TopGear. Great job guys please keep up the great work!

  • airing down is off road 101, fellas

  • Ebay secure ? Safe ? Bollocks !

  • $800! One tyre? F**k my black dog with a pogo stick, if you idiots are paying that for one tyre you’re insane.

  • Nolan really sucks at driving

  • Just went climbing in Moab with a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 with bald tires 😂 so no expensive doesn’t mean better

  • mud terrain tires would be better for what you are doing as mud tires are still ok on the road and much better off road

  • 5:48 LOL

  • I will ride a girls bike all the way to LA if you give me hi car at the end of this season

  • Thank you guys. you all rocks. Its very helpful. Im going now to a budget AT Tires.

  • Wait for about 150 miles. Youll start hearing a slight roar from the tires.

  • Toyota is the Taliban's truck of choice so they gotta be good!

  • loose the stupid shades and get serious instead of stupid joking

  • Soapy water?... No, do it right and use some good bead sealeant

  • Love you homies but bad comparison:/ You are comparing a hybrid R/T tire (Nitto) to a traditional A/T tire.🤷🏽‍♂️ But Kenda makes a hybrid tire too! The Kenda R/T. And they are still cheaper than the Nittos.

  • Pretty funny I have both of these tires and they're both good. Time will tell how many miles each last

  • Excellent episode

  • Toyota Baby, Get one, Send It

  • sum ugly ass wheels

  • Beadlock is also known as the biggest pain in the ass for tire boys as myself (work at discount tire)

  • This is like are lift kits really worth it? The Army never used them back in those days.

  • I can't wait till donut does a drag race project for hi and low to donut please do something like a Camaro or a dodge

  • I think you'll see benefits long term buying better tires with less wear over time hard to tell a difference when both are new

  • When you weren't sure airing down would help. Are you even car enthusiasts?!?

  • Nice Chrisfix reference

  • I legit went out to go buy as set of nittos after watching this 💀😂

  • Honestly noise is not really an issue for me when it comes to new tires. You can’t really hear them anyway because of how beautifully loud the 5” straight pipe on my duramax is.

  • This is the dumbest series since powernation's "budget" mail jeep build.

  • Look at all those welds on that wheel! 9:27

  • for hicar why not go Cooper's or Micky Thomson's

  • Crazy weight difference. Interesting

  • Ok. Gotta admit. At 1st I thought it was gonna be those prices for each tire and I was like "are there tires out there that are that expensive?" Kind of a shocker till they said that was for all.

  • The lonely larch partly repeat because gearshift complimentarily wobble to a piquant danger. aberrant, easy secure

  • As soon as I heard “give it some beans” I knew hi-truk was my favorite team.

  • Yea air down it will give you better traction to climb. There designed to do that.

  • $40 around here to get tires mounted and balanced for a set around here. I still do small and trailer tires by hand.

  • They should have went with firestone mt2 tires

  • don't buy tires on eBay!

  • The difference between the tyres though will be how many miles they last. There will be a massive difference in that

  • I have some cheep tires. Was doing 115mph and the rear tire went. Didn't even have 5 thousand miles in it. Just buy good tires

  • The steel rims look better than the beadlocks that's just my personal opinion though

  • I mount tires at a Mexican shop and for trailer tires we use two crow bars to mount them lol
